Please join us on Saturday, November 16th at 6:30 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Huntington (109 Browns Road, Huntington, NY 11743) as we delve into the rich African American History on Long Island.
There’s also an Auction! Please see the link here: http://bit.ly/HAAMAuction
Moderated by Joye Brown, Associate Editor at Newsday, we will learn many interesting aspects of famous African Americans who have lived on Long Island and have contributed much to our world from our expert panelists: Dr. Jermaine Archer, Associate Professor of African American Studies at SUNY Old Westbury; Denice Evans-Sheppard, Director of the Oyster Bay Historical Society; and Dr. Georgette Grier-Key, Director and Chief Curator of the Eastville Historical Society in Sag Harbor.
Following the panelist presentation, Appetizers and Desserts will be available, catered by Craig Forney of Colors Catering.
There will also be a 50/50 Raffle, as well as silent auctions for a Flat Screen TV, Photos and Paintings and much more.
We hope to see you at this most informative and delicious fundraiser for the Huntington African American Museum.
