At the winter solstice we go deep into the dark. What will we find there? How will the light of love shine from within? How do we nurture this in the dark? We do it together.

At this time of year it’s not unusual for people to have mixed emotions, or even to be wrestling with grief or depression. We will gather for a brief, intimate service in which we will reflect, share, and support one another.

Tuesday, December 24 at 4 pm

Pastor Madelyn and the Religious Education Committee will be putting on an updated Christmas pageant, re-enacting the stories from the Luke and Matthew gospels, and singing carols with the UUFH intergenerational ensemble.

Join us for a Candlelight Lessons and Carols service as we engage with the Christmas story through story, readings, and music.

Sunday, December 29 at 10:30 am

Join us for a service of poetry. We’ll listen to poetry and have time to reflect on how these poems connect to and amplify our Unitarian Universalist values. And perhaps you’ll be inspired to write a poem or two of your own! You are invited to bring a journal, or paper will be provided.
